Butter Chicken










Ingredients : 

  • Boneless chicken (thighs or breasts) 400gms
  • Butter 2-3tbs
  • Thinly sliced Onion 1no
  • Cinnamon 1/4tsp
  • Crushed garlic 2tsp
  • Crushed ginger 2tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2tsp
  • Chilly powder 1-2tsp
  • Coriander powder 1tbs
  • Ground almonds 1/2cup
  • Sliced tomatoes 225gms
  • Tomato paste 1tbs
  • Yogurt 1/2cup 

Method :

  • Clean, remove skin and cut the chicken into small pieces.
  • Heat a pan and melt 3tbs butter.
  • Add sliced onion and cinnamon and fry lightly.
  • When onions are soft stir in the crushed garlic and ginger.
  • Add turmeric, chilli and coriander powder and saut on a medium flame.
  • Add sliced chicken pieces and saut stirring constantly until the chicken has turned white.
  • Add ground almonds, sliced tomatoes and tomato paste.
  • Mix thoroughly.
  • Cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Add yogurt and heat for sometime.
